It’s spring. I don’t know whether that’s official or not, but my personal (invented) calendar divides the year into four by months, and spring is March, April and May.

I woke up early on the first day of the month - despite having plans for a lie in - and resisted the temptation to head straight downstairs. Instead, I finished the M.R. James ghost story I’d started the previous night, and then read a good few chapters of A Thousand Feasts.*
