Passing Storms
On facing the waves of change, and steering a course through
We watched a storm on Monday.
The morning was bright and sunny; a walk among the hills left us feeling surprisingly hot and thirsty (necessitating a stop at the tearoom for refreshments). But the balmy weather was short lived. The forecast was - unusually - accurate, and that forecast was for thunder and heavy rain.
We observed the skies darkening, the lightning, and the subsequent downpour. By this time we were home again, safe and dry, and it was gratifying to see the garden getting a good soaking.
Life has, for the past year and a half, felt like we’ve been tossed on stormy seas. But we held on tight, somehow steered our way through and are - fingers crossed - approaching calm waters once more. Because a big life event is on the horizon:
